This is an example of the construction documents you would receive from Michigan Building Design.
Our typical plan set would include the following, engineer-sealed and emailed in PDF form:
Notes sheet, showing design criteria and loading for all subcontractors and plan reviewers
Foundation plans, showing all column, slab, and footing information (size, locations, etc)
Floor plans, based on a sketch or description you provide and adjusted to meet code and structural conditions
Framing plans for any mezzanines, lofts, or interior structure.
Roof truss layout for design by truss manufacturer
Roof framing plans for any lean-tos, porches, etc
Building elevations (exterior views)
Wall sections and details showing all required structural components, including all member sizing, spacing, fastening, along with other applicable code requirements such as insulation.
The plans will not include: A bill of materials, mechanical, electrical, or plumbing plans, roof or floor truss design, a site plan, printing, or anything not specifically listed above.
